Terez Simmons
Terez has more than 20 years of experience in public and private accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the State of New Hampshire, USA, and a Chartered Accountant with the Bahamas Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA). He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting, earned with honors from Northern Caribbean University in Mandeville, Jamaica.
Throughout his career, Terez has led and advised clients across a broad range of industries, providing external and internal audit, accounting, advisory, and insolvency services. His experience spans corporate liquidations and receiverships, business advisory, financial reporting, regulatory compliance, risk management, and governance consulting. He has successfully managed complex engagements for private companies, regulated entities, not-for-profit organizations, and public-sector clients.
Beyond his professional practice, Terez is active in community and industry leadership. He is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Nassau Sunrise (2021–2022), serves as Treasurer of the Rotary Bahamas Disaster Relief Fund, and is a Director of the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers' Confederation (2025–2027). He also chairs the Business Matters Working Group, which focuses on reducing and eliminating check usage in the Bahamas.
